Show Notes

Join April and Kimberly as they discuss sexual assault, and how we break the chains of how we define purity as christian women.   Colleen Willoughby bravely shares her journey of coping with sexual assault in her first year of college and how she healed and began to take control of her life.

About Colleen:
Colleen was raised in north Texas and received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas in 2012. She moved to Amarillo for a year as a Forensic Interview for the Children's Advocacy of Texas before moving back to North Texas to work for a local rape crisis center in her hometown. She interned, volunteered, and worked for nonprofits serving victims and survivors of sexual violence for nearly a decade before she left the nonprofit realm in 2016 to pursue a new career path.

She received her Master of Business Administration - Operations and Supply Chain Management in 2019 and is currently working as a program manager for an e-commerce company. Her passion is still to advocate for victims and survivors of sexual violence and hopes to serve on a board of directors one day to help local nonprofits secure the funds they desperately need. Colleen is married to her best friend, Lyndon, and they are expecting their first child in July 2021. They have a dog and 2 cats, and love spending time outside whether in their backyard or a patio at a restaurant.
